There are many types of mechanic positions that are filled by highly trained individuals, ready and willing to get their hands dirty in order to get the job done. A few of the most common types include motor mechanics, diesel mechanics and earthmoving mechanics. Read more about these mechanics below:
Motor
A motor mechanic is a very broad position. It requires a person to be knowledgeable about a variety of cars, engines and more. The job of a motor mechanic requires these individuals to repair, replace and maintain parts on any vehicle that they may need to work on. These mechanics are prepared to perform quality work on your vehicle, whatever the problem may be. Motor mechanics are the workers that save us in a time of need when our vehicles are failing on us, or just to carry out the regular service.
Diesel
A diesel mechanics job is much more specific that that of a motor mechanic. A diesel mechanic, as the name suggests, works on diesel vehicles only. They are the people that inspect and fix trucks, buses, and large vehicles with diesel engines in order to get them to their optimal performance level so that they can be sent back out onto the road.
Earthmoving
Earthmoving equipment is the focus of earthmoving mechanics. These individuals oversee maintaining, repairing and replacing parts on earthmoving equipment which includes a few very large construction vehicles. The earthmoving mechanic is there to ensure that the equipment does not experience excessive downtime, and that the construction projects can continue and be completed within their set timeframe.
